A Ticker, or Ticker Symbol is a string of letters & sometimes characters that is used to identify a stock, ETF or other security.
Sometimes a ticker is just one letter as well. An example: Apple’s stock ticker is AAPL, making it easy to identify when being used to make market transactions.
